Brent Swaltek eagerly stepped into the world of a lighting and special effects technician as his love for live entertainment seamlessly evolved from childhood. Always intrigued by the mechanics of how a show functions at its optimum, he has dedicated his career to learning all things operational. His career miraculously changed in a single day, as an intern opportunity with highly revered Pink Floyd tribute Brit Floyd lead itself to touring globally. Brent was also sought out to tour with Aerosmith on their “Peace Out Tour” as a special effects technician. Brent completed three years of post-secondary education at Point Park University for Theatrical Design with a concentration in Lighting Design. Brent’s passion for design also extends to the world of dance, which he studied closely as a Lighting Designer/Assistant Lighting Designer in college. Brent received his ILDA (International Laser Display Association) Safety Officer Certification in 2022. He is proficient in programming on the GrandMA2 and Beyond Laser Software. Outside of touring on the road, Brent enjoys golfing, hockey, and playing guitar. Brent also owns and operates an organization called “Brent’s Bandaids”, a charity organization that donates colorful and characteristic bandaids to children’s hospitals. If you are interested in donating, please go to the contact me page and feel free to reach out!
